Dr. Debra O'Neill (she/her) conducted her PhD research at Trinity College Dublin's Trinity Centre for Practice and Healthcare Innovation, focusing on Healthcare Reform and Organisational Culture. She holds a First Class MBA with a gold medal for her research on transferring business models to the NGO sector and is an award-winning author on Leadership in Healthcare Transformation.
As the Founder and Principal Investigator at LinkAge Consultancy, Dr. O'Neill leads an team dedicated to developing healthy organisations through the alignment of people, practice, and policy. Over recent years, she has worked with hard to reach and vulnerable communities, including those affected by domestic abuse, people who use drugs, homelessness, as well as LGBTQ+ teens and older adults. An expert in Mixed Methods, she is passionate about Community Participatory Research and Transformative Social Justice.
With over thirty years experience in various senior corporate roles, including finance, marketing and as CEO, Dr. O'Neill now exclusively collaborates with the Public and Not-for-Profit sectors, co-designing and delivering projects she is passionate about. She is a licenced EQi (Emotional intelligence) practitioner and a certified mediator (IMI). Additionally, Debra is a member of the Population Health & Behaviour Research Group and the Substance Use Prevention Research Group, directed by Professor Catherine Comiskey at Trinity College Dublin.
Mx. Dany Elamin (they/them) is a graduate of King’s University, Aberdeen, Scotland. They hold a master’s degree in Sociology (2010) and Psychology (2013), focusing on Abnormal Psychology, Psychopharmacology, Social Psychology, and Developmental Psychology. Their research interests include gender and sexual identity, substance use, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, and abnormal psychology. . PRINCE2 qualified, Dany previously worked as a Global Commercial Data Analyst in the corporate sector before joining LinkAge Consultancy as a Senior Researcher and Project Manager. Additionally, Dany has been a Childline Counsellor and a Mentor to volunteers for over a decade, finding great fulfillment in this role.
